2,334 days of a great (and good) adventure on Jervis Pereira

2,334 Days of a Great (and Good) Adventure at Jervis Pereira
Tuesday, January 22, 2019
The adventure began on September 5, 2012. It started with a temporary job until the end of the year. Four months doing administrative tasks and supporting communication consultants: Elisabel, with Casa Agrícola Alexandre Relvas; Teresa, with Lidl; Joana, with Tourism Thailand, updating databases, and suddenly I started working alone with the Portuguese Film Academy. "Alone" is relative because my administrative and Academy tasks were supervised by Rosário. Many questions in the area of press relations were answered by Elisabel, and in November, with Teresa Loureiro's departure, I got the Lidl job. The Lidl job would never have been possible without the rest of the team. With Lidl, I feel I learned and grew immensely. I was "thrown to the lions" and had good days and bad days, days when I almost wanted to give up on everything. But the tasks they gave me were tasks from someone who believed I could go further. And I did, for another six years.
In January 2016, Joana Ferreira embarked on a new life adventure, and the accounts for Tourism in Thailand and Tourism in the Dominican Republic were left to me. A new challenge began for me. To disconnect from the accounts I shared with my dear Elisabel (to whom I am so grateful for her patience and teachings) and embark on tourism. Tourism was undoubtedly where I felt like a "fish in water." A tiny fish that met people, that grew, that dedicated itself to each of the projects as if they were its own.
I want to express my immense gratitude to the clients who trusted me, to all the partners/suppliers I worked with, to the Specialists who welcomed me so warmly, to the colleagues who put up with me at my best and worst, to the interns who also taught me so much, and to our director Rosário Louro, an even greater thank you for the challenges she presented me with, for the freedom she gave me in many projects, and for the affection and trust shown during these almost six and a half years. In February 2019, I will embrace a new challenge, outside of a communications agency, outside of tourism, but in my heart there will always be a little bit of “Jervis”!
