The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) joined the Universal Exhibition of the Portuguese Motherland - Camões 500 Years, to support the conference “Camões - Citizen of the World and the Globalization of Food by the Hand of Portuguese Sailors. Thailand - The Portuguese Influence in Thai Cuisine”, which took place on April 8th, at the Library of the Galveias Palace, in Lisbon.
A full house, around 60 participants attended the conference led by Margarida Pereira-Müller, a scientific documentalist and researcher specializing in gastronomy, who highlighted the Portuguese presence in Southeast Asia, reflected in various elements of Thai culture and cuisine.
The session ended with a tasting of Thai cuisine, offered by TAT with the support of the Siam Square restaurant.
