We are a great resource for master's theses!

Last week, our colleague Pedro Fonseca brilliantly defended his master's thesis at the Catholic University, choosing as his topic "The Press Relations Strategy of the 2019 Travel Fair – A Case Study". On Friday the 24th, he presented me with the bound and autographed thesis, with the smile of someone feeling immense relief and a sense of accomplishment. I couldn't help but be moved by the sincerity of that gesture and feel a great nostalgia for the time when I finished my degree and began my professional life.

In recent years, several students from Nova University and the Catholic University have written master's theses based on Jervis case studies. Projects such as "I Buy What's Ours," the Aveiro Lagoon, the Travel Fair, and Thailand Tourism have resulted in excellent master's theses, always with very good grades. It's interesting to note that students always choose clients for whom we work in a 360º approach, even though in practice their theses focus only on a very specific area of ​​the project. Some choose media relations, others brand positioning, others social media communication, and so on. It's also fun to follow the comments and suggestions of the supervisors and the jury itself. They also help us reflect on our own performance.

Some of these master's students start as our interns and, after their thesis, stay working with us for several years. Even those who move on to other challenges never lose touch, frequently resorting to our help whenever they need contacts or to establish partnerships. I recently discovered that a group that worked with us 10 years ago still meets regularly for dinner. I interact with most of them through social media, so I can follow their respective career paths.

It's good to feel that our work doesn't only serve our clients. It also contributes to training and guiding those who are starting their professional careers.
